KNOW, NAME AND LIVE YOUR VALUES

Masterclass | 4 training hours toward ICF Accreditation

It's almost impossible to look at Linked In, Twitter or any leadership content these days without coming across words like authentic, self-aware or values-based leadership. But what does it mean, and how many of us know - I mean really know - what our values are and how to live and work in alignment with them?

For most of us, we only see and feel our values when a boundary is crossed. And when it happens, it can leave us with feelings that range from discomfort, resentment, and stress to anger and more.

Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, you will know and have named your values and understood the boundaries necessary to keep your values intact. And, perhaps most importantly of all, you will have practiced communicating your values to others.

Aligning your values with your behaviours, decision making and treatment of others will produce satisfaction, a sense of integrity and fulfilment that you might not have experienced before. Doing the work on your values now will help stem future feelings of being taken advantage of or not being appreciated in your role.

And it is not as hard as you might think.

Three elements to your learning

What we will cover

Types of Value

We will cover three different types of values and consider which ones we prioritise, why and what impact this has on your day to day life.

Eight Questions

We will work through eight questions that will help you zone in on the values that are most important to you. The questions will surface the values that are most important to you and how near or far you might currently be to living them.

Reflection

You will work through your values in a small group to take feedback and refine them even further.  You will also provide feedback to others - using a feedback method we will teach you.

Prioritised Values

You will finalise your values into a one page summary. Then you will prioritise your values so you are clear which ones are most important for the season you are in.

Defending Your Values

Prioritising your values will help you understand which values are important to defend. We will develop a number of strategies to defend the values most important to you. And you will get to practice them.

This course exceeded my expectations. The way of giving comfort zone to all participants, the course material design, they way they were delivered, the tools shared everything I loved being a part of this course💛. Thanks a lot Kirsty

Yes, I expected to revisit my values, but it exceeded my expectations with the final activity of the course (session 2) with a very simple but effective framework for protecting my values from others and myself will be very helpful for me moving forward.

In a very short period of time and with very practical tools l got what l wanted out of the sessions, plus l met amazing people!

My biggest insight was that one of my values is actually holding me back from achieving some of my ambitions....although this value is so ingrained, it is going to take significant effort to change. It's really useful to know that now. It was definitely worthwhile.
